Magnolia is looking for a dynamic, self-starter to join our growing team. This position will give you ample opportunity to learn, challenge yourself, and contribute to wide array of clients in B2B space and help expand Magnolia’s own marketing initiatives. As a small, but highly responsive and client focused B2B agency, we’re looking for someone with the “no task is too big or too small” mentality.

PR and Marketing Support

  1. Work closely with team to deliver and execute all aspects of marketing communications researching, planning, booking, logistics, budget and accounting for the team’s various client projects.
  2. Support team members with delivering reports, analysis, and research
    • specific work includes: Using media monitoring tool to update and maintain media database
    • media distribution
    • editorial calendar building
    • research speaking opportunities
    • due diligence on media opportunities
    • awards calendar research
    • editing and proofing pitches
    • editing and proofing all written work
  3. Manage scheduling of projects and task management for the team and PR Specialists
  4. Help with social media campaigns for various company projects – this includes writing posts, finding and researching articles, and schedule posts on social media
  5. Provide event management support that includes booking venues, handling logistics and follow through with contracts.
  6. Provide RFP and general proposal support that includes advance knowledge of Office Suite products.

Administrative Support

  1. PR/Marketing administration support – support team members, and company to help create a cohesive, and team-driven environment:
  2. Be the first point of contact to greet staff and clients
  3. Answer questions and direct visitors to the appropriate people or services
  4. Answer calls to the main office and forward telephone calls appropriately
  5. Accept messenger and courier deliveries
  6. Perform other administrative duties as needed such as word processing, compiling and recording
    data, maintaining files and inventories, operating office equipment, and sorting mail
  7. Maintenance and general upkeep of work space and boardrooms
  8. Manage scheduling of projects and task management for the team and Client Services Lead
  1. Aptitude: great work ethic, enthusiastic, sense of humour, willing to learn, open to constructive feedback, thick skin, persistent
  2. Detailed Oriented and Highly Organized: Responsive, work independently and willing to grow with the company.
  3. Marketing Acumen / Education: Knowledge of marketing / communications discipline
  4. Technology Savvy: Advanced, highly competent with Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), comfortable with technology and using/ learning web applications. If you’re not advanced in these tool set, this position is not for you.
  5. Knowledge of Web 2.0, Adobe Design Suite, online marketing knowledge are assets but not necessary. Eg. HTML coding, wordpress, mailchimp, constantcontact etc.
